THE BAKER

I am Katherine Peña, the baker and dreamer behind Dominican Cravings Cake Lab. My love for baking started in my mother’s kitchen, where the sweet aromas of vanilla and cinnamon filled the air during every family gathering. Watching her transform simple ingredients into something that brought everyone together sparked in me a passion that only grew stronger with time.

Years later, my studies in Hospitality and my experience in food & beverage gave me the discipline and creativity to take that passion further. Dominican Cravings Cake Lab was born from the desire to blend tradition with innovation—celebrating the flavors I grew up with, while also creating cakes that feel fresh, modern, and made just for you.

For me, baking is more than a craft—it’s a way of sharing culture, love, and joy. Every cake I create is designed to tell a story, bring people together, and make your celebration unforgettable.
